Let’s MEET THIS MOMENT TOGETHER
Let’s restore Trust in government through good governance.
Let’s work towards more effective Communication & Collaboration.
Welcome, and thank you for your courageous curiosity! Thank you for giving me a chance by listening. I have been hiding my decades of experience in business and community leadership, yet this moment calls me to step up.
I love Friday Harbor, and the amazing people here! My future self would never forgive me if I didn’t at least try.
I believe we can write a promising next chapter for our unique ferry-tale life here in Friday Harbor.
This isn’t just a campaign, it’s a movement towards strengthening our community with the latest research and frameworks for collaborative resilience and communication strategies.
We can restore trust in government with good governance, beginning with inspired civic engagement.
I hope you will consider joining me on this journey!
In gratitude for the opportunity to serve the beautiful people of Friday Harbor, a community who helped me overcome the most challenging decade of my life,
Pam

Yes, “she’s qualified”
I offer the specific skills, talents and qualifications to meet this moment for Friday Harbor.
EDUCATION | Executive Master of Public Administration, Evan’s School of Public Policy & Social Governance, The University of Washington. Bachelor of Fine Art focused on Painting, Journalism and Marketing, The Ohio State University.
WORK EXPERIENCE | 20+ years as an entrepreneur in strategic brand communications, as professional artist, teacher of K-12 and adults, and board member and team leadership in multiple non-profit and civic-centered organizations.
As part of the X-generation, I understand the world prior to technology, yet was just old enough to learn a balanced relationship with the natural world and modern world. (I even wrote a book about this called “Natural Self Discovery – A creative journey to sanity in an increasingly insane world.”
After corporate world with Victoria’s Secret Stores, launching my painting career, teaching K12 Art in Florida, I launched my own brand design and strategy consultancy. I worked from a home office back in the early 2000’s, when it wasn’t common, managing brand projects nationally (back then it was Skype, Email and a Landline). I did all this while raising my now 2 amazing adult children through the dot.com crash, the mortgage crisis, and multiple hurricanes. I have learned resilience is built by not fearing challenges or adaptation. True growth and transformation happens by facing challenges, head on, as opportunities to learn. This approach has helped me overcome breast cancer, and experiencing the losses of several loved ones to depression and addiction, including the love of my life for over 30 years, and late husband, Tim. Overcoming the most recent of these experiences are why I say that this community helped me face the most challenging decade of my life. The ultimate gift would be graced with the opportunity to give back to Friday Harbor with my unique lens, adaptive leadership and entrepreneurial skills and talents.
Ponderings with Pam
My campaign engagement strategy:
- “Meet Pam at the Park” and other various adventures to connect with you in courageous curiosity.
- Regular Video posts online | Facebook, YouTube, and here
- Phone calls! Yes, I plan to try to reach each voter to hear your concerns, ideas, and answer your questions.
My hope is more will join me on this journey to ignite engagement with what happens in our local government, and create a sense of belonging in our shared purpose: which is strengthening our community for a resilient and thriving future for our ferry-tale: economically, structurally, and collaboratively ~ recognizing each of our unique skills and talents we can contribute.

“ I hope to be graced with the opportunity to serve the community who helped me face the most challenging decade of my life.”
